What tractor horsepower is required for the disc mowers?
The minimum tractor power is approximately 30 HP for KD21, 45 HP for KD25 and 60 HP for KD28.
How many discs and blades does each model have?
KD21 has 5 discs and 10 blades, KD25 has 6 discs and 12 blades, and KD28 has 7 discs and 14 blades. Each disc is normally fitted with two blades.
What PTO speed is required?
All three models are designed to operate at 540 rpm PTO speed.
What is the approximate field capacity of the disc mowers?
According to the catalogue data, the field capacity is approximately 2 ha/h for KD21, 2.5 ha/h for KD25 and 3 ha/h for KD28. Actual capacity depends on field conditions and operating method.
Can the blades be replaced quickly?
Yes. The design allows quick blade replacement using a special tool stored on the machine.
How is the mower protected against hitting an obstacle?
The machine is equipped with a break-back safety device. The blade holders also allow the blades to rotate through 360°, while the V-belt drive additionally provides overload protection.
Does the mower have an overrunning clutch?
Yes. The drive shaft of the disc mowers is equipped with an overrunning clutch.
How is the cutting height adjusted?
The cutting height is adjusted by setting the tractor's top link on the three-point hitch.
Does AGROKOWALSKI also manufacture cutterbars for disc mowers?
Yes. Cutterbars are manufactured at the AGROKOWALSKI facility in 2.1 m, 2.5 m and 2.8 m sizes. They are available as complete assemblies with discs, and custom cutterbars can also be manufactured to order.
